LThe
phantomEye ( GPS Tracking )vehicle tracking, asset tracking and kids
tracking or family tracking system is the most affordable gps tracking
system in the world. GPS tracking has been
available to the world for many decades now but PhantomEye GPS tracking
system is the worlds first do-it-yourself (DIY) vehicle or asset
tracking system in the world that enables users to track over the web,
mobile phones or email. The Phantomeye vehicle tracking system has been
designed from ground up to make vehicle tracking as easy and as
affordable so that the benefits of GPS location tracking can be made
available to the families and small businesses that would like to use
GPS tracking, but are deterred by the sheer costs or the complexity of
the system. PhantomEye vehicle tracking system can be used by the
transport and courier companies to track trucks or vans. PhantomEye
comes in two configurations. A battery version of the tracking unit
does not require any installation and the gps location tracker can be
placed virtually anywhere in the vehicle cabin as long as the tracker
is not shielded by metal surfaces or is covered by thick layers of
metal composite material that will attenuate the GPS signal. Once the
tracking unit is in the vehicle, the vehicle can be tracked as soon as
it starts moving. The tracking system provided by PhantomEye is indeed
very useful for tracking families and loved ones. The tracking unit has
a built in motion sensor, and this enables the Phantomeye system to
report movement even when the GPS signal is not available. This feature
is a great improvement over contemporary systems that would simply stop
at the last GPS position. With phantomEye, you will come to know if the
vehicle is still moving or it has come to rest. This feature is useful
in determining the approximate location of the vehicle in the case when
a vehicle goes into a tunnel and surfaces in an urban canyon and then
goes to park in an underground car park. Street level location mapping
is also a great feature of the service, and can be useful in the case
of a car jacking. A point to be kept in mind that a service like
phantomeye depends on several service providers like, SMS, map ,
database and websites. So, although PhantomEye could be used in finding
out the location of a missing or stolen vehicle, but this service is
not an emergency service and does not guarantee that it will always
work. In spite of that, mobile phone mapping is a real cool feature
that allows one to track friends, family and kids over a mobile phone.
The ability to track when you want opens up new possibilities. Parents
wanting to track their new teen drivers on Friday nights, will be
heartened to find the location of their kids car when as usual the kids
do not answer their phones. PhantomEye can be used as a back up system
as it is available over commercial infrastructure used by the mass
market. Govt and law enforcement agencies could use PhantomEye location
tracking system as a system backup. The antenna less GPS unit can be
placed discreetly in the vehicles so that no tampering of external
antennas could be damaged. The ability to track over mobile phones
using GPRS or 3G protocols to get a map, or get suburb level location
information over SMS is also a very useful feature. SMS is now a time
tested protocol and in some areas where GPRS is flaky, a user still has
an option to get location information albeit at a coarser level.
Insurance companies would appreciate the usefulness of an onboard
tracking system that can utilize both GPS and motion sensor reporting.
Geopresent provides several location tracking systems. The GeolocateX
series of location tracking software made available earlier for the
Symbian phones has been discontinued and a new series of GPS location
tracking software will now be made available through the PhantomEye
location and asset tracking service. GPS receivers are now so cheap
that it makes sense to use the GPS tracking technology for the benefit
of the family’s and business safety. Geopresent provides
consulting and software development services in the GPS tracking and
GPS asset tracking areas. We are also going to couple our GPS offering
with RFID tags and provide a single window service for all GPS tracking
needs of individuals, small and large businesses.
The use of GPS tracking by major logistic companies has proven the
business case for GPS tracking however the costs of the GPS tracking
system are a barrier to entry. The PhantomEye GPS and Asset tracking
service over mobile phones is a cheap alternative with the same bells
and whistles available as that of a high end system.
